Chery Easter ES Menyasar Pasar Innova

Sebagian orang kita bisa saja “meremehkan” mobil-mobil dari China. Bahkan, saat konfrensi pers diadakan oleh PT Chery Mobil Indonesia, Kamis lalu, wartawan masih saja menanyakan masalah kualitas dan dikaitkan dengan kegagalan pemasaran sepeda motor buatan  China  yang sempat marak pada akhir 1990-an.

Waktu itu, sepeda motor China ditawarkan dengan harga lebih murah, ternyata  sampai sekarang tidak mampu menyaingi merek Jepang. Untuk hal ini,  Wakil Presiden Chery Automobile Co. Ltd., Zhou Biren berkilah, “Mereka tidak siap! Hanya menjual. Kini kami datang dengan mempersiapkan layanan purna jual secara lengkap.  

Chery malah tidak kuatir dengan masalah kualitas. Sebagai bukti, Zhoe mengatakan, produknya sudah dipasarkan di 80 negara. Bahkan mengatakan punya 4.000 paten pada seluruh produknya.

Penampilan
Melihat penampilan MPV pertama yang dipasarkan Chery di Indonesia, yaitu Easter ES (aslinya Easter Cross), memang banyak yang tertarik. Dari segi desain, MPV ini tampil  bergaya moderen dan dinamis. Apalagi setelah melonggok ke dalamnya. MPV ini dilengkapi dengan sun roof yang dioperasikan secara dengan menekan tombol (motor listrik).

Transmisi, berdasarkan spesifikasi pada brosur hanya tersedia, otomatik 4-percepatan. Tak kalah menarik, lampu depan tipe proyektor  dengan dua bohlam, satu halogen dan satu lagi HID. Begitu juga lampu kombinasi belakang yang berada di pilar C adalah jenis LED.

Interior
Jok berlapis suede yang cukup baik dengan warna beige. Jok pengemudi bisa disetel secara manual ke delapan arah. Perlengkapan standar (termasuk  AC) adalah audio single CD yang bisa memainkan lagu dalam format MP3 dengan 6 speaker. Sedangkan dasbor dibuat berkesan mewah dengan menambah ornamen panel kayu (wood panel) di bagian tengah dan sekeliling setir.

Kendati demikian, penampatan panel instrumen di tengah agak menyulitkan pengemudi membaca informasi tentang kecepatan dan kondisi kerja mesin. Hal ini kemungkinan akan menjadi ganjalan karena pengemudi Indonesia kurang menyukai gaya seperti ini. Beberapa merek Jepang yang pernah menawarkan desain seperti ini malah kembali ke panel instrumen di depan pengemudi.

Dari segi harga tentu saja menarik. Sebagai contoh, MPV Easter ES yang akan dijadikan andalan dilego Rp 199 juta on the road. Sedikit lebih mahal dari Kijang Innova paling murah, tipe J, yaitu Rp 195.500.000, namun dari segi fasilitas sama dengan Kijang Innova  tipe G bertransmisi otomatik. Perlengkapan keamanan disertakan adalah 2 airbag, ABS dengan EBD.

Dimensi dan Mesin
Dari dimensi dan kemampuan mesin, Chery Easter langsung berhadapan dengan MPV legenda Indonesia, yaitu Toyota Kijang Innova yang kini berada di segmen menengah. Namun dari kualitas akhir, hanya dengan mendengar suara pintu ketika ditutup,  kerapian celah antara pintu dan bodi, serta pemasangan komponen lainnya, Easter masih di bawah Kijang Innova.

Untu pengoperasian komponen lain, termasuk kemampuan sesungguhnya belum diketahui. Pasalnya, perbandingan ini dibuat berdasarkan pengamatan visual langsung dan data dari brosur yang dibagikan.

Peluncuran Mio J Tetap Meriah

Peluncuran Yamaha Mio J berlangsung meriah dengan aksi "theatrical", pertunjukkan sinar laser, fashion show bernuansa Korea dan Jepang dan kembang api yang disaksikan ribuan pengunjung di Lapangan Gasibu, Bandung, Sabtu (25/2/2012) malam. Hujan deras mengguyur Kota Kembang tak mengurangi kemeriahan acara.

Dari pantauan KompasOtomotif di lapangan, bersamaan dengan peluncuran, Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) juga mengedukasi teknologi Mio J, ada "cutting unit", permainan interaktif, dan varian Mio J yang semuanya berada dalam booth-booth yang telah disediakan.

Pengunjung kian ramai menyaksikan penampilan beberapa band lokal dan pertunjukkan puncak dari J-Rock. Dan pesta peluncuran Mio J masih berlanjut sampai Minggu (26/2/2012).

Kegiatan seperti Festival budaya Jepang melibatkan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Sekolah Tinggi Bahasa Asing (STBA) dan Kelompok Pecinta Budaya Jepang (KPBJ).Juga disiapkan aksi Flash mob Mio J, BMX performance, trial bicycle, sky jumper, euro bungee trampoline, beauty cosplay, wall photo corner, kompetisi cover dance, kompetisi B-Boy, kontes fotografi, kompetisi aerobik, lomba menggambar, mewarnai dan gathering Mio Club.

Nissan Introduces New Generation

Nissan today introduced the Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) latest generation of vehicles that will be used on 2.0 and 3.5 liter engine. Further, the transmission will also be used paa hybrid cars front wheels.

Mated Mitsubishi Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing technology Electronic (MIVEC) to Auto Stop & Go (AS & G). The goal, to machines that use both technologies are more economical fuel consumption. According to Mitsubishi in a release, the first machine that would combine the two technologies is 4J10 capacity of 1.8 liters.

This engine will be paired on a compact SUV, RVR (name in Japan) or ASX Outlander Sport in some countries). Other models are also equipped with this technology is the Galant Fortis sedan Sport (outside of Japan called the Lancer or Lancer EX) and Galant Fortis Sportback (Lancer Sportback) 5-door hatchback. New MIVEC
